Placement - Manufacturing Engineer - Global Transformation/ Lean

We run an exciting 12 month placement where you are given an opportunity to work on real projects making a difference in your team and the company as a whole.

Working as part of the PSBU Supply Chain Transformation Team, this placement will be involved with various aspects of manufacturing engineering, quality and operational support to the Cummins Power Systems sites.



Knowledge of IT including Excel

Problem solving

Conceptual skills

Team working

Project management

Degree course in either Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering

Placement duties will involve:-

Helping to develop Lean Manufacturing and Operations solutions for Global plants

Manufacturing Engineering support for capital equipment procurement

Liaising with multiple departments and global plants, to support and manage various improvement projects

A mentor will be there to guide you through training needs and personal development in the following areas:

Lean, Manufacturing Engineering and Systems skills training

Engine and Generator product knowledge training

Presentation and communication skills

Project management training

Business soft skills training
